Is it really only Tuesday?

And I don't have much to say, so if I can get some pictures downloaded that will be all I've got for ya!

Piper is still struggling this week! I'm hoping it is just the little cold she has picked up but she rarely drinks a full bottle and she won't sleep in her crib for more than 30 minutes. She is happy for the most part but just not herself! And even Presley has been waking up once, if not twice a night! Not cool!

Weekend Update

So Miss Piper went to bed Friday night with a stuffy nose. In 45 minutes I got up 4 times to put her pacifer back in and she was snoring so bad! I thought maybe getting her a little more up-right with help with drainage and such so back to the bouncy seat she went. I slept on the couch next to her so that Steve could get a good nights sleep. Unfortunately P was up 3 times that night too! Coughing, then she had to pee and then coughing again. So neither one of us got a great night sleep but we'll survive.
Saturday morning we got up and cleaned b/c Steve's aunt and uncle were coming up from Creston to see Piper and the house (and the rest of us too!) It was really good to see them! It's sad that we only live an hour away from Creston but rarely get down there to visit!
Once they left, we ran out to Costco, one of our favorite places! And it was PACKED! We decided after that to go to JC mall and eat at the Cheesecake Factory since we had a gift card there. I decided I wasn't going to get cheesecake, I was proud of myself for just putting down the menu!...then I noticed we had another gift card for a free slice of cheesecake...so I just had to get one! Of course, now looking back on it...I really could've been nice and given that free slice to someone at the table next to us?! Hindsight is 20/20 right! But that piece was oh so good! :)

Today we met the family at Mama Lacona's for brunch to celebrate my birthday and my mom's birthday (her's is the 30th, mine is the 2nd and P's is the 3rd). Yummy! It was nice that we could all get together since next weekend is jam packed with fun! Then we made our grocery store trip and had to order P's birthday cake for next weekend! Of course, Walmart had a baby contest. Guess how many jellybeans in the jar and win a basket full of baby stuff....then b/c we had a baby with us we got a little personal cake! Seriously! I can't pass that up can I? We came home, hung out, played, watched tv, Steve made dinner, I worked out and it's 8:30 and both kids are in bed! Ahhh.....

Piper seems to be doing better, still a light cough and runny nose but she ate better today and napped better. She is in her crib tonight so we'll see how that goes! We have a busy week ahead of us so maybe I should go to bed early! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend and enjoy your Monday!

Boring!

This week was kind of boring! Which is nice! No complaints (even though it seems Miss Piper may be getting a cold). Tuesday we had gymnastics class, there were some new kids so they went around and everyone had to say their name...Presley was last. I didn't know what she would do, would she say her name? Would she smile and look at the teacher, like 'duh, bitch, you know my name'! She came right out and said "Presley Grace Goodrich". I about died, it was the cutest thing EVER!
Wednesday night I worked late (as in 5:30, that is late for me! LOL!). That is right, overtime is already back on my schedule! Damn, I guess I should get it in now when the weather is cold b/c I know when it gets nice it is too hard to work late and not get home and spend some time outside! So I'll just try to go with the flow for now.

Thursday I had a slight freak out when Jackie called and said she was in line to sign Ava up for preschool. There was a long, slow line and people had been line for hours to sign their kid up! What? I'm not ready for that crap, I don't have hours to go stand in line to make sure P gets in a preschool class. We don't even know where we want her to go next year! So we toured Generation Next, we had heard good things, it is convenient with home and work, good hours, and won't cost us any more than it does now for P's daycare/preschool costs. I think we might tour one more place to see what we like and then NEED to make a decision next week since most of these places have a waiting list and such! I just think she needs to make the transision to a full time place, as much as I love having her at my moms, Aprils and her preschool (WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE ALL OF THEM!) I think this is the time for a change.

Miss Piper was up alot last night! Mostly just wanting her pacifer, which is a habit I don't want to start but she was coughing and woke up sounding stuffy and my mom said she wouldn't sleep and hardly ate all day. So there must be something looming there! :( Hopefully just a quick cold and a couple nights of bad sleep...I'll take that! Seems like so many of our friends and their kids are sick with colds or the flu that I can deal with a small cold (let's just hope that it's nothing!).

Is it sad that I've only worked one full week since the beginning of October? And I'm already looking forward to my next PTO days in March! Pink concert in MN! Can't wait!

Five Question Friday...a little early

1. Do you embrace or dread snow/cold weather days? Dread them if I have to venture outside. I can embrace them if I know I don't have to leave the house!
2. Which game show or reality show could you totally win? Wheel Of Fortune, hands down my game!

3. What is your preferred climate? 80 degrees if not a little warmer!

4. What do you buy every time you walk into the grocery store, no matter what? Fruit for P and Dt Mountain Dew for me!

5. If you see a spider/bug in the house, are you brave enough to kill it, or do you call for your hubby? If it is small I can take care of it.....but if it is big enough that it might 'crunch' when smashed, I'm out. I want nothing to do with it. Growing up my bedroom was in the basement and there were crickets! I CANNOT kill a cricket b/c it 'crunchs' so I would take a cup, turn it over and trap it! It would suffocate and die unless my dad killed it first! My daddy was my bug killing hero growing up! :)

Blah Blah

- Presley has been fairly good recently! I think it really helps to be back on a 'normal' schedule of sorts. I think we've only had one time out in the last week! She is far from perfect, but even when she got up this morning she said 'I not be mean to Piper today!'. Well, OK!
- Piper is good, growing so fast! She is getting some chunk in her cheeks! She rolled over for about 5 days and now has decided that she doesn't want to anymore. I think she has only rolled over once in the last 4 days. Oh well. She is doing good with reaching out for toys and such so that is exciting. And the girl smiles ALL the time!
- Presley is in imagination overload! She tells me stories, elaborate stories of things that 'happened'. It must be exhausting to think as much as she does. None of the following is actually true but it is awesome to listen to her!
  1. Gamma had a room full of dogs and cats b/c it was a nice, safe home, but Scout (my parents yorkie) didn't want to be with them. Then there was only one dog and cat and one of them was named Miss Presley Piper Rebecca
  2. Gamma found an apple in her freezer and put it in the microwave and it breaked?!
  3. We took a million 'vacations' this weekend, we went to Texas, Okoboji and Iowa State over and over again. She lined up EVERY toy we have upstairs into her make shift 'car'. One time her car didn't work so I drove my car and a dragon took her. Every time we had to make sure our seat belts were on and we always had to look for deer while we were driving. She had to call Pa for directions. She had a Candy Land card as our 'map' and a tag from something as her 'money'. She told us if we were supposed to go right or left and where we should park. And tonight there was even a baby deer in the car b/c the mom and dad were lost and it was going to join our family!...well of course!

Weekend Update

So Friday it was just us girls. We had a fairly good day except for an hour from when I picked P up at preschool until we got home and argued about scissors (see my FB pic from that afternoon!)....other than that....things were good! She had quiet time in our bedroom with a movie after lunch.
I had a girls night out with my Holly and my friends Sarah and David (yes, he was invited out for girls night....he fits right in!). We went to Saints and had some dinner and drinks, we had ALOT of laughs and it was nice b/c I was still home by 10 pm!....Yes, I'm getting old and I'm okay with that. (Yes, I am almost 34, which is basically 35, which is basically 40! Reality check, I'm just a young 40 year old!)

Saturday morning we got up and had brunch at Mullets. P got a pancake and fruit and was way more excited about the fruit than the pancake! Piper sat in her car seat and eventually fell asleep (I love this easy going kid!) Then we went to Toy R Us to look at bikes for a possible birthday present for P. She found one that she likes and she actually did a pretty good job riding it around the store!
B/c the weather was so nice we came home and took a walk! It was a little windy but the neighbor girl down the street saw Presley and wanted to play! She really wanted P to come down to her house to play but we knew that would never happen so Layla came to our house to play! It was so nice to see her having a good time and playing with the neighbor kid. I really hope there is more of this in the future especially when the weather gets nice! And hopefully she'll be comfortable enough to play outside with the other kids without us around!

Today we finally made our way over to my parents house to hear about their trip to New Orleans! They had a great time and now it makes us want to go! Maybe we'll put Vegas off and go there instead?!
We came home and Steve stayed upstairs with Piper while they watched football, Presley watched Princess and the Frog downstairs while I walked on the treadmill for over 45 minutes (I got sucked into watching a TV show on abc.com!). It was a nice afternoon of just doing whatever we wanted!

I have one more day off since tomorrow is MLK day and it will just be me and Piper. Maybe we'll do some shopping? Or maybe we'll stay in our pj's all day! :)

Five Question Friday

1. If you were going to be stuck on a deserted island, which 5 books, movies, people and foods would you take along? I'm going to quickly just do one thing of each...if I think about this too long I will never be able to decide!
Book- It Sucked and Then I Cried....
Movie- Either Major League or My Cousin Vinny
People - Steve (or if the kids are good the whole time, I would choose them too)
Foods - Dt Mountain Dew and peanut butter....b/c you can put PB on anything right?

2. What is your thought on year round school? It doesn't seem like that bad of an idea but I know the excitement of summer break too. I'm not completely against it, but I'm not going to go looking for year round school for my kids either.

3. What is your most embarrassing potty story? (Can't be one of your kids' potty stories either!) It's not that embarrassing but being pregnant with Piper. Good God...it was too hard to laugh and NOT want to pee my pants! I remember stopping in my tracks, crossing my legs and laughing just so I wouldn't pee my pants!

4. What's the temperature where you are? Normally COLD, today in the 50's....Monday I think the high is 13 degrees...so really it is a roller coaster of temps around here!

5. Are you a winter/spring/fall/summer person? I think I'm turning into a spring/fall person. I hate winter. I usually love summer but the last couple years have been so hot that it is hard to enjoy! I really prefer to NOT ever have to wear a jacket but know that when the sun goes down (no matter what time of year) this girl always has a sweatshirt/jacket nearby!

Week o' fun?!

I don't like it when my parents are gone for the week, I feel too out of touch! Especially since I'm used to seeing my mom 5-6 days a week! Any who...they are getting back late tonight and we are very happy about it.

My Tuesday with the 3 kids was good. Boston got here about 7....Piper didn't wake up until 8:15 and then Presley didn't get up until about 9:30! Presley and Boston played good together, I think she likes having other kids at our house b/c it is her territory and she feels she is in 'charge'! I put them down for naps (quiet time for P). Boston and Piper slept, Presley watched a movie in our room and I was able to take a shower and get ready so that I could take P to Target and gymnastics once Steve got home from work.
Wednesday I dropped P off at preschool and then had to jet downtown to have my biometrics test done for our health insurance. Piper was enjoyable! She smiled for everyone and then eventually fell asleep in her car seat for me. My biometrics test came back that I have great 'good' cholesterol (which she said could be impacted by my hormones from just having a baby), good blood pressure and a higher BMI than I would like. I do NOT like my weight right now, I know I should just give myself the benefit of the doubt knowing I just had a baby....however, knowing that I don't work out and that I eat like shit doesn't make me feel good either.
We picked P up from preschool, had lunch and then she had quiet time (another movie in our bed....which I'm fine with...it's an hour and a half of time that we both need to regroup! LOL!)
Then that night Holly met me so that we could go to the visitation together. Colleen normally holds herself together, and the minute we saw her she broke down...so of course, Holly and I did too. But she always has her sense of humor  (even during the hardest times) which I love!

Today, Presley went to Aprils and I had Boston and Piper. I was able to get my awesome cousin Kelly to meet at my parents house to watch them for me while I went to the funeral. Thanks again Kelly! I was gone for a couple hours, brought them home, fed Boston lunch and put him down for nap. Once Piper was sleeping too, I walked on the treadmill (I walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes on Sunday too!) for about 25 minutes and was able to quickly shower afterwards before Piper woke up! Two easy, good kids made for a nice afternoon!

Life is too short

I just don't feel that I'm old enough to have friends whose parents are getting sick or dying. They are too young, I am too young. Why is life so unpredictable? My best friends dad passed away last Friday night. Sudden, unexpected heart attack at 66 years old. SIXTY-SIX! My dad just turned 60, Steve's dad is 73, it really puts things in perspective. What is important? What petty things we bitch about on a daily basis?
I can't really think about it b/c it tears me up knowing how quickly their lives have changed. How her mother now has to go home to an empty house. What things he was going to finish that weekend, only he never got the chance? We all know it will happen....eventually...in the future...right? But what if the future is tomorrow? I wouldn't be prepared for that, I don't think any death is something you can really prepare for but so unexpected, so sudden, so out of the blue. I can't wrap my head around the fact that some day (very, very far in the future!) I will get that same phone call about one of my parents.
At the funeral today, I was fairly pulled together. Then my friends 5 year old daughter came into the church and that is when I started thinking (thinking only produces tears during a funeral). Does she know what is going on? Does she understand? I know Presley doesn't fully understand the concept of death and we just told her that Bridgets grandpa went to heaven. Heck, we don't even know if she knows what that means or if they teach her about heaven in her preschool class (remember this is a religious school).
Colleen, my love, sympathy and heart goes out to you and your family! You are one of the strongest women I know and you always seem to have everything together. We are always here for you whenever you need us! Remember, your dad and Bo are probably together having a beer right now!  Did Bo like beer? Or did he prefer wine coolers? :)

(Sorry this post is all over the place, probably not making any sense but when it comes to death nothing makse sense to me either)

Weekend update

Saturday Holly wanted to spend some time with Presley, so she picked her up and took her for the afternoon. Presley is always very excited to spend some time with Aunt Holly (and Jerry and Mary!)
We got ready for our Packer party that afternoon since my parents are out of town we decided to have it at our house.
Mommy and Piper in our Packer shirts.
Holly, Samantha, Sarah, Jordan and Nick doing a shot after the Packer touchdown. We ran out of Goldschlager which I'm thinking is the reason the lost the game! I guess next year we'll be more prepared and stock up on the Goldschlager.
Sunday Presley and I went to the science center with Sam and Boston. It was fun! I'm glad they invited us and that Susie gave us her pass to use! :)

Since my parents are gone this week I took a week of vacation since we don't have a back up daycare provider for Miss Piper. So today P went to Aprils and Miss Piper and I went to the mall and spent some money....just like the good ole days of me being on maternity leave! Since she slept from 8:30 to 8, she didn't sleep that much during the day but she was good, smiley and oh so happy and talkative!
Tomorrow I will have Presley, Piper and Boston...I don't think it will be too much harder having all 3 of them, the main goal is to keep P and B from fighting all day! Wish me luck!

Our girls.

Five Question Friday

1. Flu mist? Flu shot? Or take your chances? Honestly we never do flu shots. Steve did get what we think was the flu (head cold flu, not stomach) a couple weeks ago but so far us 3 girls are still healthy (KNOCK ON WOOD!).  I usually get my normal seasonal cold, but can't say I have had the flu in years (KNOCK ON WOOD). So we take our chances!

2. Do your kids have iPads? What are some good educational apps? Price? No, our KIDS don't have iPads. We have an iPad that she uses but it is NOT hers....we have been trying to get her to understand that! She does love memory games and she has an alphabet app that she has been using for a couple years. So far, we have only downloaded free apps...I hate to pay for something and then have her hate it!
3. What are your favorite boy/girl baby names? No comment. I will never reveal the other names we like...in case there is a 3rd child someday.
4. If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, which apple do you choose to eat? (red/green, gala, red delicious...) Any apple with peanut butter is the way to go!
5. What is your favorite place to escape to for peace & quiet, to think? Why? I don't know if I really have an 'escape' place to go.....Now that we have the whirlpool tub I do like to veg out in there with my wine and a book but that only happens about once a month! I'm hoping when we get our deck built this spring that I can sit out there to escape...we'll see. A trip to Cancun is always a good way to escape too!

3 months!

Miss Piper......

- is estimated at about 12 lbs...and is finally wearing her 0-3 and 3 month clothes! It was so sad to pack up those tiny little newborn clothes! :(
- smiles so easily. I love that little grin! And 'talks' alot! She is definitely a Goodrich with all the talking she does!
- normally eats 6 oz every 3 hours
- holds her head up like a pro! She doesn't fuss too much during tummy time, she just lays her head down and starts sucking on her hand.
- rolled over for the first time tonight (for Steve...so it might have been a fluke! HA!)
- we have no real schedule for bottles or naps but she is still cat-napping in the morning with a good, long nap in the afternoon and then usually has a 1/2 hours snooze in the evening too.
- HAS SLEPT THRU THE NIGHT FOR OVER A WEEK NOW! People, do you realize how big of a deal this is to us! Presley didn't sleep thru the night until she was 8 months old! Of course, we still get up and check on her all the time (yes, she is finally swaddled in her crib now!). She loves to wiggle her way up to the corner of the crib and push her face right up againt the bumper pad (real safe, huh?) (And yes, we are bad parents and have bumper pads on the crib...shame on us....whatever.) We still doubt that this will continue but we'll enjoy it while we can.
- she is still super sweet and good and cuddly! Love it!

Ode to my parents

I love my parents! They do everything for all of us. We are very lucky to have them so close and so involved in our lives........
but I think they might be losing their minds.

This is the bush my dad trimmed up and left one lone branch that had a birds nest in it.

This is a flamingo next to a tree.....neither one is real.

When there aren't fake flowers in the flower bed...there are these Christmas decorative things sticking out of it.

Why not?

Sunday Funday....has a whole new meaning

This weekend was great! G.R.E.A.T!
Friday night we went out to dinner at Jethros, one of our favs even though we haven't been there in a LONG time b/c the whole BBQ thing didn't sound so good when I was pregnant....and b/c Presley doesn't like to eat anything there.

Saturday I was up at 7 with Piper but I got some of my DVR shows watched and read some of my book (Thank you Rachel!). Steve and P got up about 9 and we hung out, did some cleaning, picking up and such and then took a trip to Kirklands and Gordmans (still looking for things to put on the walls of the house!) and then of course made our weekly trip to Target.
We did some more fiddle farting around and then headed to my parents house for the Packer playoff game. Goldschlager shot for every Packer score! It was a great game!

Of course, we were over there way too late and go home and put the kids down about 10:30-11 pm. You know what is completely awesome?! No one waking up in our house on Sunday morning until 8:30! This was the third night in a row that Piper had slept thru the night! Woohoo!
Steve got up with the girls and when I rolled out of bed at 9:30, he was making bacon, hashbrowns and waffles for breakfast! Perfect!
We had some time to play play-doh, dress up like a princess, watch a movie.....then Steve took Presley shopping and Piper and I hung out. She fell asleep about noon and I did some housework and then read my book (while watching my DVR'd shows). It was the perfect afternoon! They got home about 3 and Presley dressed up again, we played kick ball in the basement, did a puzzle and Steve made dinner! Both kids were in bed by 8:30 and I took a glass of wine and my kindle and took a nice, hot bath (my back seems to hurt alot more since I had Piper!) Sunday funday!

On a side note:
- I finally packed up most of Pipers newborn size clothes, we are on our way to wearing 0-3 months and 3 month clothes! **Fingers crossed she continue to sleep thru the night!**
- Presley has been fairly good this last week. I don't know if we have and any time-outs....alot of warnings and counting to 3 to get her to do things but no major meltdowns.....yet. I'm hoping since we are getting back into a fairly normal routine of things, that she will continue to be the sweet, funny almost 4 year old that we know and love!
- She finally changed her mind on the Christmas birthday party she wanted *mom breathes a sigh of relief*...we are now having a Tinkerbell party!

Friday, January 4, 2013

Bored

- So I have been back to work 2.5 weeks, it hasn't been bad. I have to test case to get my authority back and that process is very slow. So I'm taking advantage of it, I know the overtime will kick in soon so I might as well do my one file a day and sit back and enjoy it. Now I just have to pass these test cases! YIKES!
- The bad part about being back to work is leaving the house at 6:40 every morning and not getting home until about 5:30 at night, there just doesn't leave a lot of time for much else besides dinner, bath and bedtime routines!
- Steve is now responsible for taking and picking Presley up from Aprils on Monday and Thursday, I think this little extra responsibility is good for him and honestly those days are less stressful for me!
- I love the deer that we see on our way home (and sometimes in the mornings), just last night I saw 12 deer from my moms to our house! We had a nice buck in our backyard last week and the deer tracks are all over the yard! Now the goal is to NOT hit one, that scares me!
- Presley keeps telling us she wants a Christmas birthday party this year! LOL! Maybe I should've taken advantage of the clearance Christmas decorations when I had the chance! I'm really hoping that when she sees the Tinkerbell (or Hello Kitty, Barbie, princess) stuff that she will change her mind....or we'll be having a Christmas birthday party in February!
- Piper slept thru the night last night! She ate her bottle at 7 and then we gave her a little more about 9 in hopes to hold her over thru the night. It must have worked b/c at 6:30 this morning she was still sleeping and I had to wake her up to leave for work! No worries, we will not get our hopes up that this will continue.
- The best thing for me to do when I get home from work is to NOT sit down! If I can keep moving, picking up, putting laundry away, or whatever else....I get so much more done than if I were to sit down for an hour and then try to clean. Now I just have to find time and motivation to work out too!

Five Question Friday

1. Have you set any goals/resolutions for 2013? See previous posts

2. Have you made any travel/vacation plans for 2013? Well, of course! That is what we do! We are going to see Pink in concert in March with Holly and Jerry. We are going to a wedding in Algona in April, taking Presley with us and leaving Piper with Grandma. And of course, our annual Okoboji trip in July!
And we are throwing around trying to go to Vegas in May/June, so we'll see if that happens!

3. What room is never cleaned in your house? We've done a pretty good job of trying to keep the house picked up since we moved in. But CLEAN, CLEAN? Heck no room is ever fully, really 100% CLEAN!

4. What food must be in your house at all times? Milk and fruit, these are the two things Presley has before bed every night. If we don't have them, it's like the planets are out of line, hell has frozen over and pigs are really flying....b/c the routine of this fruit and milk is like breathing for this kid...it has to happen!

5. Are you a hugger or more of a hands off person? Depends on the person, but in general I would say the older I get the huggier I get!

Thursday Thoughts

Outside my window... it seems the sun is going down already....too early!!

Today I feel... tired and bored actually. Not having my authority at work right now really keeps my stress level down!

I am thinking... about how life is too short.

I am thankful... for a husband who likes to cook!

Tomorrow I am going... to get paid! First time for a full pay check since November

I wish...Bostons dad wasn't a dead beat

This weekend... the Packers HAVE to beat the Vikings! Packer party with Goldschlager shots!

I am reading... nothing! Sad, after all the reading I did last year. I just haven't got back into yet but I hope I come out of this funk soon!

I am working on... lots of little things! Thank yous, pictures, planning P's bday, still decorating parts of the house

Yesterday I... should've gone to bed earlier

I am hoping...my parents don't kill each other on the drive to New Orleans next week!...but that they have a great time!

I am hearing... not much. The big man in the corner is talking AGAIN. And I only mean 'big' in the sense that he is high up in the company, definitely not his stature.

One of my favorite things... the sound of my baby cooing and giggling! And a happy Presley!

2013 Goals

1) Lose 10 pounds

2) Sign Presley up for full time daycare/preschool either in June or September (we'll see how her attitude is and if my mother is willing to deal with her all summer! LOL)

3) Sign Presley up for soccer or dance. She loves gymnastics but I think she need something additional to help burn off some energy.

4) Take Piper to waterbaby classes like we did with Presley!

5) Payoff off the Equinox and my student loans (it's a stretch to do both this year but we can try!)

6) Limit my time on the computer while the girls are awake! I think both Steve and I need to work on this and I think as the weather gets nicer it will be easier to get out of the house and not be tempted to turn on the computer all the time.

7) Limit the amount of overtime I work. I actually did a good job of NOT over doing the overtime this year, with being prego and the house and preschool, it was just a crazy summer filled with appointments and places to be. Though I am thankful to have my job, I have to remain focused on my family. I will not give up every night or weekends for work. This is hard sometimes when my desk is overflowing and people are screaming or crying b/c they won't have a place to live if I don't get their loan approved YESTERDAY.

8) Donate blood. This is on my life list but really shouldn't be that hard for me to do. I just need to do it!

Adios 2012, Hola 2013

So NYE my mom volunteered to watch the girls if we had plans, well Nick and Sarah were supposed to come up from Creston but then couldn't get anyone to watch their dog! We had an overnight babysitter and no one would watch their dog?! Come on guys! LOL! So we decided to go out anyway, we had attempted to make reservations at a couple restaurants but of course they were all full so we decided to do a red neck/white trash new years and have dinner at Mullets! Our friends Derwood and Lesley came and met us out! It was fun and nice to just sit and talk and have fun!
Then about 11 pm we headed to The Boat House to be closer to home, it's a small bar a couple miles from our house. We got home about 1:00 and went to bed (we were tired b/c we had both been up since about 4 am!)
I remembered to take a picture of us!
This morning we got up and went to get the girls and decided to go bowling! None of us had been in years and thought it might be fun to take the kids!
Bowling has changed a little....for one, the automatic bumpers for the kids are awesome! My mom wanted them but she wasn't allowed b/c she was above the height limit!
Boston wanted to bowl like the big kids!
and the dinosaur tail they had for the kids to use to help them get the ball down the lane was perfect! Presley wasn't too sure about the shoes but after her first two times bowling she was willing to put the shoes on and was always excited for her turn and knocking down the pins! It was so cute! We had lots of high fives and I think everytime someone bowled Boston said "Good job!" He is too adorable!
It was fun....and expensive. Steve and I were talking about how bowling always usde to be a cheap form of entertainment...not so much. It was $40 for 3 of us to bowl 2 games! Piper slept thru the first game and was good as normal

After bowling, Piper and I came home and hung out. I cleaned, did laundry, watched some of my DVR shows and hung out while Steve and Presley went to see his brother Jason's new house at Lake Panorma!
Presley said to me as she was going to bed tonight..."It was a fun day!"
