So after no sleep and Steve having a morning hike with dady, we then went white water rafting, this was my third time and Steve's 2nd time and we love it! Though it was a 2 hour drive there, so 16 of us piled into cars and headed on our way about 11:15. by 1:30 we were ready to go!
As we were listening to the guides give us directions and safety info, I noticed there were 4 guys standing in front of us with Johnston Dragon shirts on?! Because it is a freaking small ass world, yes, these 4 guys were from our same freakin city! HOW CRAZY IS THAT??
Our guide was Ivan from Argentina, he was very cool and we paired up with Scott and Sam. We all worked really good together and the guide seemed happy with our rowing!
The river was low but it was still a good time, lots of waves and this body WAS and IS so sore! We still were able to get in some grade 4 waves (mostly 2-3's on a scale of 1-5). Good time and something we would still do again!
We didn't get back to the cabins until about 6 and guess what? Nothing can just be easy for us! Presley was sick! She had spent most of the day on the couch! So we showered, took turns eating dinner with the family so the other one stayed with P and then she threw up. She had a fever but she REFUSED to take any medicine. Steve went to sleep early with Presley (since he was running on 3 hours of sleep) on the couch and I put Piper to bed about 9 and had the whole king bed to myself!
About midnight, I woke up and we forced Presley to take medicine. She was sweating and I knew I wouldn't sleep knowing that she didn't have any medicine in her....Steve held her down and I took her face in my hands used the syringe to squirt in her mouth....we had to try 3 times b/c she kept spitting it out! (this girl is STUBBORN!)
But overall, we all actually got sleep this night! Woohoo! Because we all needed it!!!!
