And we are talking about smoking meat....not other kinds of smoking!
The guys got up early to put their meat on their smokers and the girls and I slept in! Presley, Nora and Ava played on the water mat when it wasn't being controlled by the 12-16 year old boys that were there!
There was drinking and a bean bag tournament and smack talking about who would win the contest. There were 9 different people smoking food and there were 17 different meats entered into the contest (from brisket, burnt ends, pork loin, ribs and beef tongue!)
The judging is serious business!
Jason and Bo tied for 1st place, Jason came in 3rd and then Steve came in 4th. Seriously such good food!
The turn out of people was awesome! So many kids and everyone was just having a good time despite the heat!
Jordan's girlfriend Alli let the girls drive the golf cart. They LOVE the golf cart and I never go on it with so they were in heaven!!!
Presley was doing a 'magic' trick by using her arms on Steve. It was SO funny with him pretending to do things with Presley's short little arms!
Can you believe this boy is the same age as Piper? He was so tall!
Most of the rain missed us there. It rained for maybe an hour, but nothing like it did back at home! We almost couldn't believe the rain that we saw happening on the news and FB. We were outside most of the night and went to bed about 1 am.....Steve got up and golfed Sunday morning and the girls and I slept in.
It was a little chilly Sunday morning but the girls went to the park and they played in the sand and eventually got into the water. We hung out until about 4 and then headed home. We were all tired and needed serious showers!
