Unlike a lot of the metro area, we did not go to Luke Bryan in Boone on Saturday. We have had this Adventureland outing on our calendar since we attended last year! We knew so many people going to this and had such a good time last year that we didn't want to miss it! Steve missed his 20th high school class reunion too!
$3 to see how fast you can throw a Hamm's beer!
One of the best things about this event is the 4 stages of music they have! There is so much good local talent and it is almost hard to see everyone you want to! Damon Dotson played about the same time our friend Baird did so we did some walking back and forth between those stages.
The Gin Blossoms! I knew I didn't know very many of their songs so we stopped by for a bit but it was really crowded so we moved on.
They had a stein hoisting contest.....first 15 women went and that stein was so heavy, I don't know how they were able to hold it up as long as they did!
Somehow Steve ended up in the men's stein hoisting contest.....his goal was to NOT get last place, he was 3rd to last so he was happy. I tried for about 30 seconds to hold this thing and holy moly. Both of our arms hurt the next day because of this! HA!
The Nadas played from 4-6 pm, our favorite!
I'm the person with the camera taking a million pictures over and over but I don't care. One guy asked me who I was taking pictures for?! Um...myself.
The Spazmatics played from 7-9 pm, this was the first time we had seen them and they were awesome! So much fun and GOOD songs!
Sunset Ridge Neighborhood!
We left about 8 since that is when our ride home was leaving and it was time, it had been a long day. The 6 of us decided to go to El Mariachi for a quick dinner on the way home and then of course, went to The Boat House for one. We were still home by 10:30 which was awesome!
