Cancun 2017 - Day One

 

We left bright and early...well before it was actually bright, so it was dark and early at the airport at 4:40 for our 5:50 flight to Dallas. They were in good spirits!

They are almost pros at flying.....this is Presley's 4th time and Piper's 3rd!

We got to Dallas with about 15 minutes to spare and got on our plane for our flight to Cancun! We got there about 2 and had some time to hang out until our room was ready at 3 pm.

I might have sent them a message letting them know that Presley's birthday was coming up, so they decorated the door! She really didn't know what to think!

They decorated the bed also! Free pillow (so we are hoping since we took it!), water bottles for all of us, balloons.....shrimp towels and a Happy Birthday certificate! :)

 

Once we got situated in the room, we got changed and headed out to check out the resort. The girls wanted to go swimming SO badly!!

They were so tired....we woke them up at 3:45 that morning and there were no naps on the plane. We had some tears b/c she got splashed in the face but we managed. :)

We found the little kids pool, it was never busy and the water was very warm!

We went back to the room and got changed for dinner, we just hit up the buffet. Piper fell asleep in the booth and Presley enjoyed the ice cream and marshmallows! :)

Wednesday was a short night since we were all up so early. We went back to the room early and crashed.....well everyone except Steve, he can't sit still so he wandered to the Lobby Bar and did his socializing! And he met a young Val Kilmer.... :)
