Monday/Tuesday photo dump

Monday ended with more fishing.......

 

 I love these two together!

 and some serious games of beanbags!!

 and busting out Presley's poi spinballs! 

Tuesday was a beach day. Piper joined me, playing in the sand and water while I sat there and read my book in the perfect weather!

Presley and Ava were dying to have an 'Eat it or Wear it' challenge, b/c they both watch them on YouTube all the time! The videos are pretty funny and both girls were more than willing to participate, so Aunt Christie got it all set up for them to do!

First item up....cold nacho cheese... 

 Ava tried to eat it and then gave up....both ended up wearing it!

 Go-gurt....an easy 'eat it' for both.

 Lima beans....both girls refused to eat it....so both wore it!

 Syrup....both ate it

 ketchup...both ate it, but it is still not easy to just eat a spoonful of it!

Sardines.....both wore it, without even thinking about it!

 Whip cream....Presley ate it....

 Ava wore it!!

 Sam wanted to get in on the fun...but he really just wanted to eat the whip cream.

 last by not least....bread crumbs!!

 Ava tried them....but ending up wearing them!

After that fun, they washed off in the shower by the beach and just got in the water to wash off most of it too!

and finally I got to be in a picture with my Presley Pie!

Gavin and Sam caught a TON of frogs on the first couple nights, by Tuesday night they were begging to get out of this container! So we convinced Gavin that we should let them go! 

SO GROSS!

Sunday/Monday

Sunday was another day of the same.....Steve got up and went golfing with Derek, Jordan and Jason and we did a little of everything else....fishing, talking, drinking, eating.

Devin brought her puppy Haley with her! So cute!

 Presley and Ava really wanted to do a scavenger hunt! We have done this with them for the last couple years and they love it, keeps them busy for a couple days looking for things! One of the things they had to do was find 2 worms and hold them. Well they were smart and knew we had worms for fishing, Presley has no problem holding worms, Ava did not want to but they did it!

That night we left the kids with Devin, Roxanne and Grandma Kathy to go to the Barefoot Bar to watch a Garth Brooks tribute band.....  http://www.tribute2garth.com/music.html. The bar was packed and they were really good! We were impressed and stayed until the very end....when it started lightening and downpour raining on us!
We got back to the cabins about 11 and everyone was inside due to the rain so it was nice to have an excuse to go to bed early!

Monday we slept in (and the girls did EVERY morning, they were never up before 9! and many days Piper was the last one up at 11 am!)
We hung out and then I took Presley to Barefoot bar that afternoon to meet up with Jason's family. Presley and Ava's are always together during this week and we knew that they would want to enjoy the slide and water mat together.

It is amazing that two years ago neither one of them would go down the slide and now they love it!

 Always doing cartwheels, somersaults or flips into the water!

We spent a couple hours there and then headed back. Presley wanted to go fishing again and did a good job catching little sunfish over and over again!

 Finally got the nerve to touch the fish......

 and then it started flipping around! :)
