Irritation overload

So of course we have internet now and I can't get any pictures to download....this whole long process of freaking getting internet is out of control!

I spent 20 minutes listening to Piper cry and scream on the way home from WDSM to our house and and Presley mad b/c she couldn't hear 'her song' on the radio b/c Piper was crying. FUN!

Now we are fighting, struggling, crying (by her and me), screaming and trying to rationalize with Presley to go poop on the potty. We have to stick to our guns and make her use the potty. She was always getting diapers at bedtime and would go then, well now she is wearing underwear to bed (and has been dry in the mornings all week!) and the diapers are gone (minus the 2 hiding in the diaper bag for emergency situations). This is day 4 of her not going poop and she is struggling! She wants to go so badly and is fighting us to the edge of my sanity. I really think given the chance she will go in her underwear.

Getting to Know Me - ABCs

I started this before I had Piper and am just now getting to finish it......and some of the questions I'm just skipping b/c I find them weird or have no good answer!

A- Accent you wish you had - I would have to say either English or Australian

B- Baking or Cooking? For sure baking! I don't do it nearly enough b/c I don't need that food around this house!

C- Can't Get Enough.....Junior Mints. I've had previous love affairs with York Peppermint Patties and mint chocolate chip ice cream but right now I'm enjoying Junior Mints

D- Drink you can't go without - Diet Mountain Dew, I have one every day and did most of my pregnancy too!

G-Guilty Pleasure - Keeping up with the Kardashians, I love this show! There are worse shows I could watch, like 16 and Pregnant or The Bachelor! :)

H- Hometown - Des Moines, IA...obviously I haven't traveled far from home! And that is fine by me!

J- Jumpstart Go To (aka how you get your day started) - I got nothing, I pretty much don't like mornings and even my Diet Mountain Dew doesn't really wake me up.

K- Keepsake Item - I would say the vases and jewelry my mom gave me when Presley and Piper were born. The vases were given to my mom when she had me and she kept them all these years!

V- Valentine's Day ...big deal or not? NO! I would rather Steve send me flowers on a completely different day than when everyone else is getting stuff....not that he sends me anything on any day but if he were going go, it better not be Valentines Day!

Halloween

Monday night we got our pumpkins carved, we didn't do anything fancy like we normally do and Presley wouldn't put her hand in the pumpkin to help take out the grossy stuff (as she would say).

She did color on the two pumpkins for her and Piper though.

and of course we used Steve's tools to carve pumpkins b/c that is alot easier than using a little knife.

This is the night she found my bachelorette party crown and veil. Steve did the hawkeye pumpkin and I did your basic pumpkin face.

Both P and B were able to wear their same costumes from last year! Perfect for us! We practiced over and over with Presley so that she was prepared to say Trick or Treat and thank you when she got candy. But when it came down to actually going up to strangers houses and having to talk to them....wasn't going to happen. She refused. Thank goodness Boston cooperated so we didn't have two mute kids! The only thing P would do is smile. Oh well, maybe next year.
Presley has already been in trouble and had her Halloween candy taken away...and she doesn't even care. She has never even asked about it since that night, isn't that sad? Are we mean parents? She only got one piece of her bucket of candy and then we took it away and hid it from her (as punishment for something), so now after she goes to bed I raid her bucket and eat it myself. I guess this is a win for me!

And guess who is going to have to sit thru blog after blog, picture after picture of my little life? YOU! Well, unless you decide that I'm really boring and decide to not read this and I guess that is your choice, meanie!

Sneak Peek

We had a friend/prev coworker come take pictures of our family.  I wanted mostly pictures of Piper but knew she would be hard especially once she was naked and awake. She has no control over her (exceptionally) long arms so they were flapping all over, but Presley was super cooperative and quite the little model! We got some good ones and I can't wait to see the rest of them!

Presley Mania

Presley is loving the new house....so do her dolls! She lines them up in front of the fire place and reads them a book!

 I was able to take some pictures of P in gymnastics class this week. She loves it and does so good!

Piper mania

Piper is 2 weeks old now. She is such a good baby. So sweet, sleeps good, only getting up (usually) once a night about 3-3:30am and then she is good until about 8 am.

 

 Presley adjusted right away after we got home from the hospital. She responds right away when Piper starts crying....'I'm coming Miss Piper!'...it's so cute! She loves helping out which helps me out!

So far we are all adjusting very nicely! I have yet to really take a nap....This baby has been a much easier adjustment for us...so far. I realize all that could change in a split second!

I have much more to post but limited time today since I'm stealing my parents internet while Presley is in preschool. Later gators!
